Percy is the ultimate snuggle bunny and a total heart-stealer. This sweet island boy lives for affection and sticks close to his person whenever he can. He’s learned to politely sit and settle before getting pets, and when his tail wags, his entire body wiggles along with it—pure joy in dog form.

Percy is 1 year old and weighs 20 lbs. He does wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs, and especially loves following his foster teenage son and his buddy, Marshmallow, wherever he goes. He walks beautifully on leash, enjoys daily walks, and has overcome early fears—like doors, which used to be scary but aren’t an issue anymore. Even his bark is adorable… it sounds like a short little howl!

Percy had a rough start in life, and because of that he can be nervous around men and sudden noises. The progress he’s made over the past few months has been incredible. While he may initially keep his distance, Percy does warm up—especially when people are calm and seated. He’s shown that with patience and consistency, his confidence continues to grow every day. This is not aggression—just a sensitive boy learning the world is safe.

He absolutely adores women and children. With kids, he’s gentle and respectful—when they’re loud or wild, he simply removes himself rather than reacting. He has never shown any negative behavior toward them.

Percy was born with one underdeveloped eye, which was recently removed. He’s recovering beautifully and will be out of the cone soon. It doesn’t slow him down at all—he doesn’t know any different and is living his best life. ✨
